Here’s a poem based on a conversation between the two main characters in my fourth planned series.
CHARACTERS
AKARI – sister searching for her twin
LEARTH – visits his twin in her dreams
LEARTH
Waiting around for it to appear
I bide my time by caring for you
Circles unending, a time out of mind
Wanting that something that’s mine
Holding you close is one way to say
I’m leaving you soon, be safe
Take care of my memory, forget of our pain
In the distance, I’ll wait to see you again
The wind that blows and stops my heart
Will dry all your bright tears yet again
The suns of tomorrow we never could number
When you look at the moon, recall
Before we met there was nothing and yet,
You laughed and said you were free
My chains bind us closer although I try.
Remembering you, do you forget me?
There’s more to life than just us two
There’s more to existence than twain
But two halves to a whole that live apart
I think it’s fate if they meet again
AKARI
Living my life, caring for the absent you
We never met to the face but still know
Two sides of a moon, only one alight.
The sun and the stars are about to align
When we meet, one will fade into dark
We can never stand as those on a coin
But our minds will never clip nor shatter
When it counts we will stand as one
So let me take your death to me
And turn it into unending light
A memory can serve as strength
And help empty others go on.
Let the wind play in the tousled tree
And strike the bright leaves down
Sharp waves will crash, harsh mountains fall
Truth’s light will still pass forever on
There’s more to life than just us two
There’s more to existence than twain
But two halves of a whole that live apart
I think it’s fate when they live again.
Really wonderful. Thank you so much for sharing. :3
